Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician for an established industrial repair and service facility in Tampa, FL. This position will install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment used in industrial environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electric motors, motor controls, electrical panels, industrial wiring, and electrical troubleshooting . Candidates must be able to diagnose problems accurately, complete repairs safely, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues involving electric motors and related equipment
• Test motors, wiring, circuits, controls, switches, and electrical components
• Install and repair motor starters, contactors, relays, disconnects, control panels, and related components
• Work with single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
• Troubleshoot electrical equipment using multimeters, megohmmeters, and other testing devices
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Perform conduit bending, wire pulling, terminations, and electrical connections as needed
• Assist with the removal, installation, and startup of industrial motors and equipment
• Identify worn, damaged, or defective electrical components and determine the proper repair
• Document completed work, materials used, and equipment findings
• Follow electrical codes, lockout/tagout procedures, and all company safety requirements
• Maintain an organized and safe work area

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of industrial electrical experience preferred
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electric motors and motor-control systems
• Strong knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Experience with motor starters, control panels, relays, contactors, and disconnects
• Proficiency with electrical meters and diagnostic equipment
• Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and lockout/tagout requirements
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments accurately
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Journeyman license or relevant electrical certifications are a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various positions
• Ability to lift and move equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and electrical testing equipment
• Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment

Compensation

This position pays $23.00–$30.00 per hour , depending on industrial electrical experience, motor-control knowledge, certifications, and overall qualifications.
