IMMEDIATE OPENING – EXPERIENCED CDL-A DRIVER

LAW Transport Solutions, LLC is currently hiring an experienced and dependable CDL-A driver to join our team.

We are looking for a professional driver who is reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, flexible, and ready to work. This position is best suited for a driver who takes pride in their equipment, communicates well, and understands the importance of making pickups and deliveries on time.

You must have at least 2 years (24 months) of verifiable CDL-A driving experience and a clean driving record.

DRIVER REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 21 years old
Valid Class A CDL
Minimum 24 months of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
Clean driving record
Must meet all DOT driver qualification requirements
Must be able to pass required drug/alcohol screening
Dependable transportation to/from the truck
Must be punctual and maintain good communication with dispatch
Must be comfortable with OTR routes and varying schedules
Must properly complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Safely operate assigned equipment while meeting scheduled pickup and delivery appointments. Drivers are expected to maintain communication with dispatch, properly handle bills of lading and other required paperwork, obtain delivery signatures, and conduct all required equipment inspections.

Most loads are no-touch freight. Some loads may require the use of a pallet jack, two-wheeler, or limited driver assistance when necessary.

COMPENSATION

Paid by percentage of the load depending on experience.

This is a full-time, 5-day position, although routes, start times, and days may vary depending on freight.

Duties

• Operate tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
• Safely load, secure, and unload freight including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials (hazmat), following all safety protocols for manual handling and cargo handling procedures
• Navigate using GPS systems to plan efficient routes while adapting to real-time traffic updates for timely deliveries
• Transport various types of freight such as refrigerated goods, automobile parts, hazardous materials, or specialty cargo across long distances
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with trucking regulations; report any mechanical issues promptly
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with FMCSA regulations; complete load & unload reports and delivery receipts
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route progress, delays, or issues encountered during transit

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on over-the-road (OTR) routes; delivery driving experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of truck loading and unloading techniques, including freight handling for refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous goods
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning tools for efficient logistics cargo handling
• Ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and confidently; experience with tractor-trailers required
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and dangerous goods handling procedures
• Excellent driving skills with a clean safety record; understanding of truck driving best practices for safety and efficiency
• Capable of manual handling tasks related to cargo loading/unloading while maintaining safety standards
