Amada Senior Care – Orange County is hiring compassionate, dependable, and professional Caregivers / Home Care Aides (HCAs) to provide one-on-one, non-medical care to seniors in their homes throughout Orange County.

Benefits are subject to eligibility requirements and applicable plan terms. Health benefit eligibility includes applicable plan requirements, including the applicable 30-hour-per-week threshold.

How Scheduling Works

You tell us when you are available, and we work to match you with clients who need care during those times.

During the hiring and onboarding process, you will provide your regular ongoing availability , including the days and hours you are available to work.

You will also select a primary service area — South Orange County or North/Coastal Orange County — where you can reliably and consistently accept client assignments.

Our Scheduling Team works to match caregivers with available client assignments based on:

• Your stated availability
• Your selected Orange County service area
• Client scheduling needs
• Your experience and qualifications
• The level of care required by the client

We offer a variety of schedules, including morning, daytime, evening, overnight, and weekend opportunities.

Because our clients and their families depend on consistent care, caregivers are expected to provide realistic availability and maintain the regular availability provided at the time of hire .

Home care schedules are based on individual client needs, and specific hours, shifts, or client assignments are not guaranteed. However, caregivers with broader availability may have access to more available assignments.

What You'll Do

As an Amada caregiver, you will provide compassionate, one-on-one support based on each client's individualized care plan.

This is a hands-on caregiving position , and responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with bathing, showering, grooming, and personal hygiene
• Assisting with dressing and undressing
• Providing toileting and incontinence care
• Assisting with walking and mobility
• Providing safe transfer assistance according to the client's care plan and your training
• Assisting clients in and out of beds, chairs, and wheelchairs
• Turning and repositioning clients
• Providing fall-prevention and safety supervision
• Preparing meals and snacks
• Assisting with eating and hydration when appropriate
• Providing medication reminders within the permitted scope of the position
• Providing companionship and meaningful conversation
• Engaging clients in activities, hobbies, and established routines
• Accompanying clients on walks or approved outings
• Completing client-related laundry
• Changing bed linens
• Performing light housekeeping related to the client's care
• Maintaining a clean and safe client environment
• Encouraging client independence whenever safely possible
• Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition, behavior, or mobility
• Promptly reporting falls, incidents, injuries, or safety concerns
• Following individualized care plans and safety instructions
• Accurately documenting care and services provided
• Using company-approved technology for scheduling, timekeeping, and documentation
• Communicating professionally with clients, families, supervisors, and the Amada Care Team

Caregivers are expected to perform services within the permitted scope of their position, training, client care plan, and company policy.
